What is DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide)?
DSIP is a naturally occurring nonapeptide — Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, approximately 849.9 Da — first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in the 1970s and detected in hypothalamic, limbic, pituitary, and peripheral tissue.
Published research with DSIP examines sleep-architecture EEG measurements in animal models, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis readouts such as ACTH and corticosterone under experimental stress, circadian and thermoregulatory parameters, and oxidative-stress markers in tissue models. No dedicated high-affinity DSIP receptor has been characterised, so mechanistic accounts in the literature — GABAergic modulation, opioid-system interaction, hypothalamic CRH signalling — remain provisional. The record is also uneven: effects reported in animal models have not consistently reproduced across laboratories. This page describes the compound and those studied endpoints only.
DSIP COA and batch verification
A Janoshik Analytical report dated June 2026 for DSIP 15 mg is on file and displayed with this listing. Verification for research material supplied under this catalog follows the documented process: match the identifier on the received unit through the public batch lookup, and review the published verification standards before use.

DSIP research questions
+What is DSIP?
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in the 1970s. It is supplied here as laboratory research material.
+Why is DSIP called a delta sleep-inducing peptide?
The name reflects the experimental context in which the peptide was first isolated — cerebral venous blood collected during delta-wave EEG activity — rather than a settled account of its function. Later literature describes a broader neuroendocrine and stress-signalling profile, and the sleep-architecture record itself is mixed across species and laboratories.
+Which endpoints does published DSIP research examine?
Reported endpoints include EEG sleep-architecture measurements in animal models, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis readouts such as ACTH and corticosterone under experimental stress, circadian and thermoregulatory measurements, and oxidative-stress markers in tissue models.
+Is a specific DSIP receptor characterised?
No. Despite decades of published work, no dedicated high-affinity DSIP receptor has been definitively identified. Proposed mechanisms in the literature involve GABAergic and opioid-system modulation and effects on hypothalamic corticotropin-releasing hormone signalling, and are described as provisional.
+Is a DSIP analytical report available?
Yes. A Janoshik Analytical report (June 2026) for DSIP 15 mg is on file and displayed with this listing. Researchers should still match the identifier on the received unit through the public batch lookup and review the verification standards page.
+Which DSIP formats are offered?
DSIP is supplied as sealed lyophilized research material in 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, and 12 mg vials. Current offers appear on this page.
+What is the listed purity specification?
The catalog specification is ≥99%. A specification is not the same as a batch result, so documentation associated with the received unit should be reviewed separately.
