Peptide Pens

Reusable self-injecting pen devices, cartridge refills and prefilled peptide pens

A peptide pen is a dial-a-dose injection pen that replaces the vial-and-syringe workflow with a click-indexed wheel and a sealed cartridge. Available across the entire Ares catalog — prefilled with the compound of your choice, or as a cartridge refill for the reusable Ares Precision Pen.

For research and laboratory use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Ares Precision Pen — reusable dial-a-dose dispensing pen
OVERVIEW

What is a peptide pen?

A peptide pen — also called a self-injecting pen, injection pen or pen injector — is a barrel-shaped device that holds a sealed glass cartridge of reconstituted peptide and dispenses a set volume each time the dose wheel is turned and the plunger pressed. The same mechanism used in reusable insulin pens is applied here to research compounds, so a measured volume is delivered by click count rather than by reading a syringe barrel.

How do peptide pens work?

Turning the wheel advances a threaded push rod by a fixed increment per click. A fresh single-use needle screws onto the front, pierces the cartridge septum, and is removed after each dispense, keeping the cartridge closed between uses. Reusable pens take cartridge refills; prefilled pens arrive loaded with a single compound.

Prefilled pen or reusable pen?

A prefilled peptide pen is the simplest option — one device, one compound, no loading. A reusable pen plus cartridge refills is the lower cost per dispense over time and lets one device serve several compounds. Both formats are built to order in 7–10 business days, and every fill uses the same COA-verified batch material as the matching vial SKU.

Ares peptide pens are laboratory dispensing hardware supplied for research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

MECHANISM

How a dispensing pen works

Sealed cartridge

A 3 mL glass cartridge holding the reconstituted compound sits inside the barrel, capped by a rubber septum at the front and a sliding plunger at the back.

Click-indexed wheel

Turning the dose wheel advances a threaded push rod by a fixed increment per click, so each dispense delivers a repeatable volume without reading a syringe barrel.

Single-use needle

A fresh 32G screw-on needle pierces the septum for each dispense and is removed afterwards, keeping the cartridge closed between uses.

Devices and consumables

Every pen fill uses the same batch material as the corresponding vial SKU, with the batch COA available on the product page. Hardware ships from stock; pen fills are built to order.

MOST REQUESTED FILL

GLP-3 pen — GLP-3RT in pen format

A GLP-3 pen is simply GLP-3RT supplied in the pen format instead of a vial: the same batch material, sealed in a 3 mL cartridge and either prefilled into a single-use pen or supplied as a refill cartridge for the reusable Ares Precision Pen. It is the most requested pen fill in the catalog.

  • Prefilled GLP-3 pen — device and fill together, built to order and dispatched in 7–10 business days.
  • GLP-3 cartridge refill — for researchers who already own the reusable Precision Pen.
  • Same COA — every GLP-3 pen fill carries the batch certificate of analysis shown on the GLP-3RT product page.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

PEN FAQ

Questions about pens

What is a peptide pen?

A peptide pen is a dial-a-dose dispensing device. A sealed 3 mL glass cartridge of reconstituted material sits inside the barrel; turning a click-indexed wheel advances a threaded push rod by a fixed increment, and a single-use screw-on needle dispenses the measured volume. It replaces the vial-and-syringe workflow with a repeatable mechanical measurement.

What is the difference between a prefilled pen and a cartridge refill?

A prefilled pen arrives as a complete unit filled with one compound and is used until the cartridge is empty. A cartridge refill is just the filled cartridge — it snaps into the reusable Ares Precision Pen you already own, which lowers the cost of every pen after the first.

How long do pen orders take to ship?

Pen fills are built to order in our lab. Allow 7–10 business days for assembly before the order ships. Pen hardware — the Ares Precision Pen, starter kit, needles and empty cartridges — ships from stock. When an order mixes formats, the whole order ships together once the pen is assembled.

Which compounds are available in pen format?

Every injectable compound in the Ares catalog can be supplied as a prefilled pen or a cartridge refill, at any of the vial sizes listed on that product page. GLP-3RT is the most requested pen fill. Capsules, nasal sprays, topical solutions and research-support items are not available in pen format.

Can I put more than one compound in a single pen?

No. Each cartridge is filled with a single compound so the batch COA, concentration and stability profile stay unambiguous. Researchers running more than one compound use one pen per compound, or one reusable pen with separate cartridges.

How is a pen priced compared with a vial?

Pen formats include the device or cartridge, the fill and the assembly labour, so they are priced above the equivalent lyophilized vial. Pen prices are fixed editorially and are not discounted by site-wide sale campaigns.

How should a pen be stored and handled?

Store filled pens and cartridges refrigerated and upright, keep them out of light, and do not freeze them. Use a fresh needle for every dispense and remove it afterwards so the cartridge septum stays closed. Full handling notes ship with every pen order.

What needles fit the Ares Precision Pen?

Standard screw-thread pen needles. We supply AR-PEN-N 32G × 4 mm single-use needles in 100 and 300 packs; any conventional pen needle with the same threading also fits.

Are pen products returnable?

Pen fills are made to order for a single customer and, like all research material, are final sale. Unopened hardware — pens, needles and empty cartridges — follows the standard returns policy on our shipping and returns page.

Are these devices for human use?

No. All Ares products, including pens, cartridges and needles, are supplied strictly for laboratory and research use. They are not drugs or medical devices and are not for human or veterinary use.
