CJC-1295
Synthetic GHRH(1-29) analog studied in growth hormone secretagogue research.
Mechanism
CJC-1295 is a modified GHRH(1-29) fragment with amino-acid substitutions that resist enzymatic degradation. The 'No DAC' form has a short half-life; the 'DAC' form adds a drug-affinity complex that binds serum albumin and extends the plasma half-life for research modeling of sustained GHRH exposure.
Discovery
Emerged from GHRH stabilization research in the mid-2000s at ConjuChem, building on earlier work identifying the minimal 1-29 fragment as the bioactive core of GHRH.
Research Status
Established reference tool for the GHRH arm of growth hormone research. Both DAC and No-DAC forms appear frequently in comparative GH pulsatility studies.
Quality Notes
Sequence identity and DAC-conjugation state (where applicable) are the critical quality axes. Ares CJC-1295 is third-party tested with batch COA.
