The Research Peptide Supplier Checklist (2026)

A 10-point buyer-side scorecard for evaluating any research peptide vendor consistently, from named labs to support responsiveness.

Choosing a research peptide supplier is easier when you stop reading marketing pages and start running a checklist. This is a compact, buyer-side scorecard you can apply to any vendor in the current market. Print it, save it, run every candidate through it the same way.

The 10-point checklist

1. Named third-party lab. Does the supplier name the accredited laboratory that performs its testing, or just say "independently tested"? Named beats unnamed.

2. Batch-specific COAs. Is the Certificate of Analysis matched to the lot you receive, or a single reused historical result? Batch-matched is the stronger signal.

3. Published test methods. Are HPLC, mass spectrometry, and endotoxin screening actually shown — or is a purity number asserted with no method?

4. Consistent research-use-only framing. Is the supplier disciplined about laboratory/research-use labeling and free of human-consumption language? Consistency here reflects category competence.

5. Clear shipping expectations. Are processing and delivery timelines stated up front rather than discovered after ordering?

6. Stated return / damage policy. Is there a written policy for damaged or problem orders? The specifics matter less than whether it exists and is clear.

7. Payment flexibility. Does the supplier offer multiple payment paths (including crypto)? This has become a category norm as card processors tightened, and single-rail suppliers carry more disruption risk.

8. Responsive human support. Is support handled by real people with reasonable response times, or is it a black hole?

9. Independent sentiment — read critically. What do third-party reviews say, and are those sources affiliate-driven? Weight verifiable facts over ratings.

10. Transparency infrastructure. Does the supplier maintain a dedicated place to review testing data, or is quality asserted only in marketing copy?

How to score it

Run each candidate against all ten and count clear yeses. The point isn't a perfect ten — it's *consistency of evaluation*. A supplier that scores well on named labs, batch-specific COAs, and published methods (points 1–3) is clearing the bars that matter most; the rest are operational reliability signals.
